192d takes to the air for first time during drill weekend at Langley AFB

Langley AFB, VA – The 192d Fighter Wing of the Virginia Air National Guard will be taking off May 17, 2008 for the first time during a drill weekend since its integration with the 1st Fighter Wing in the F-22 Raptor.
The 192d is the first Air National Guard unit in the nation to convert to and fly the Raptor, the newest 5th generation fighter in the United States Air Force inventory.
Since integrating and training with the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley Air Force Base, the 192d will achieve another milestone with this event as it continues the Total Force Integration mission, the future path of the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard.
Who: 192d Fighter Wing of the Virginia Air National Guard
What: First flight by the 192d Fighter Wing during a Unit Training Assembly (UTA) since its integration with the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley AFB.
Where: Langley AFB VA 23665 – 2292
When: Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
