Virginia Guard to sponsor holiday concerts in Staunton, Martinsville and Covington

SANDSTON, Va. — The Virginia National Guard will sponsor a series of holiday concerts featuring the Covington-based 29th Division Band Dec. 8, 9 and 10 in Staunton, Martinsville and Covington. The concerts will feature holiday music and singing as well as refreshments, activities for children and a special visit from Santa.

The concerts are free and members of the community are encouraged to come out and join members of the Virginia National Guard and their families as they celebrate the holiday season and express their appreciation for the support they receive throughout the year.

Holiday concerts will be held Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. in Staunton at Memorial Baptist Church at 224 Taylor Street, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. in Martinsville at First United Methodist Church at 146 East Main Street and Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Covington High School on East Walnut Street.
