Williams
visits troops
BLACKSTONE, Va. - Maj. Gen. Claude Williams, the adjutant general of
Virginia, visited several units around Virginia as they trained for
deployment missions.

Maj.
Gen. Williams briefs soldiers of the 1710th Transportation
Company during their training exercise at Ft. Pickett. The
soldiers were ordered to active federal service on March 15,
2003 and are currently preparing for overseas deployment.

Maj.
Gen. Williams presents a Virginia state flag that has been flow
over the Capitol in Richmond to Capt. Joe Breeding and 1Sgt
Ronald Culbertson of the 1032nd Transportation Company at Ft.
Eustis, Va. The 1032nd Transportation Company entered active
federal service on February 10th and deployed for the Gulf region
on April 6.

Ft. Eustis, Va. for the Gulf region on April 6th. This is Sgt
Combs-Parlier's deployment to the Gulf region. She was also
mobilized for Desert Shield - Storm in 1990.

Maj.
Gen. Williams briefs soldiers of the 189th Engineer Company
during a recent visit to Ft. Eustis. The 189th Engineer Company
was ordered to active federal service on January 21.

Gen. Williams briefs soldiers of the 1030th Engineer Battalion
during a recent visit to the unit at Ft. Eustis, Va. The soldiers
of the 1030th Engineer Battalion are preparing for deployment
to the Gulf region. The unit was ordered to active federal service
on March 15th. The 1030th Engineer Battalion was mobilized in
support of Desert Shield - Storm in 1990. Maj. Gen. Williams,
then Lt. Col. Williams commanded the battalion during that deployment.
