Natural Resources

The primary goal of natural resource management is to provide for enhanced military training while ensuring the integrity of the ecosystem.  The Department of Defense requires that all natural resource actions on military installations abide by the principles of ecosystem management. Natural Resources that are managed on Virginia Army National Guard installations include: forestry, prescribed fire, rare, threatened and endangered species, non-game species, fish and game species, recreation, wetlands, and pest and invasive species management.
